Who we are

We are Our Planet Recycling S.F.™, San Francisco's leading recycling hub for beverage containers. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the recycling industry, we proudly stand as the final recycling hub in San Francisco, dedicated to spearheading recycling efforts and fostering sustainability for our community.

OPR started as a small family venture in 2012, developing step by step to become the largest recycling center in the Bay Area. Over the years, we have also become the most efficient facility in California, receiving acknowledgement from the government agency regulating recycling, CalRecycle as well.

Embarking on an exciting journey in 2021, we pioneered a CRV redemption pilot program called BOTTLEBANK, marking a groundbreaking innovation on San Francisco's recycling landscape. The demand for more drop-off sites quickly grew, so we established 21 BottleBank locations in the first two years. To further improve our services and bring the most advanced technology to San Franciscans, we implemented a brand new, California-customized system, and launched the very first automated bag drop location in the city.

Sunday: closed

Please note that we work with a limited staff between 8:00am and 8:30am, and we are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas day, and New Year's day
